Biography
Italian photographer Stefano Paterna originally studied Business Administration in Cologne, Germany. For a few years he worked for various banks across Europe but realized soon that there was more to life than repeating numbers. He enrolled for photography courses at the University of the Arts in London and worked as a full time assistant for Prasad Naik, a fashion and commercial photographer in Mumbai, India shortly afterwards.
His independent spirit, and along with love for travel and photography prompted him to start his own photography business in 2006. He has since travelled extensively in Asia, South- and Central America, always searching for authentic pictures that convey the true character of a place and its people.
During his latest project in 2009/2010 he traveled and photographed all of the Central American countries on a motorcycle.
Stefano has been published worldwide in numerous books, magazines and travel guides such as TIME, GEO, Merian, Polyglott, Rough Guide, Footprint, Fodor's, Frommer's, Kontinente, Handelsblatt, The Irish Times, AOL and Yahoo travel.
